SPUNK returns on the New Year long weekend to dive deeper into the LGBTI underground. Special guest DJs Mike Kelly (Cologne, Germany) and Amanda Louise (citizen of the world) join Baby Bear to dish up lashings of chunky underground beats on Saturday 2 January. Wrap up your New Year weekend with sexy underground sounds among friends in this very cool club space.
SPUNK is presented by Big B.A.M. and offers up the latest underground sounds. It will be music with SPUNK to keep you entertained with the quality tunes you've come to expect from your resident DJs, Baby Bear and Feisty as well as our smoking hot special guests. Everyone is a SPUNK and we hope you will express it at our party. Friendly vibe, great music, what more could you ask for?
We are very excited to be welcoming Mike Kelly to SPUNK for the first time. Mike brings his uniquely European blend of techno, tech house and progressive that never fails to entertain and has made him a crowd favourite at a succession of Mardi Gras parties. As head honcho at Sorry Shoes records and producer of an swag of sexy tunes, Mike has impeccable taste in music and the track library to match. Mike, Voltaxx and Amanda Louise are about to release their hot new single, Chemistry, which showcases the Euro underground sound. We are really excited to have Amanda back at our New Year event after she carved up the dance floor at the SPUNK launch party at Phoenix.
Always on the lookout for Sydney's best intimate club spaces, for the first time SPUNK ventures to the Valve Underground at 871 George Street, Ultimo, an intimate basement space that reminds us of Phoenix. Over the past decade Valve has played host to a broad cross section of Sydney's vibrant music scene (including Hellfire Club and Twenty10 events), offering cool spaces, well-priced drinks, tap beer, friendly staff, dedicated bar and loos. Valve is right near central station and a hop skip and a jump from Oxford Street or King Street.
